Play feature graphic generator

Google Play requires a 1024 × 500 banner on every listing and accepts no other dimension. This editor is locked to it, so the only thing you have to decide is what it says.

1024 × 500 PNG

Exactly the dimension Play accepts, exported as a PNG with no alpha channel. There is no way to produce the wrong size from this editor — see the spec.

How it works

  1. Start from a template

Each one is a complete 1024 × 500 composition — headline, supporting line, badge, device frame, background. Double-click to apply it.

  2. Pull in your icon

If you built an icon in ExportKit, the graphic can use it directly, so the banner and the icon match. Or upload an image, or use a letter mark.

  3. Set type and background

Headline, subheadline, badge text, colours, solid or gradient background, an optional grid pattern. Drag any element to move it; arrow keys nudge it a pixel at a time.

  4. Download

One PNG at 1024 × 500, or the whole kit as a zip.

Why it is locked to one size

Because Play's spec is a single exact dimension, not a minimum or a ratio. An editor that let you pick 2048 × 1000 would be an editor that lets you fail an upload. The canvas is the deliverable.

What it does not do

ExportKit does not write your screenshots for you and there is no image generation in it: you bring the app screens and the words, and it handles layout, sizing and export. That is a deliberate line, not a missing feature — a generated store listing is a rejected store listing.

There is no stock photo library and no AI imagery — backgrounds are colours, gradients, patterns and your own uploads. The editor is built for a desktop screen.

It is free to use: 1080 × 1920 Play screenshots, the icon, the feature graphic, the full .zip and three screenshot template sets, with no watermark and no cap on exports. The rest of the template library is a one-time licence that is not on sale yet. You can start without an account; signing in with Google is what keeps the work between visits.

Questions

What size feature graphic does this export?

1024 × 500 pixels as a PNG, which is the exact size Google Play requires. The editor cannot export any other dimension.

Is it free?

Yes. The feature graphic editor, every template it ships with and the export are free, unwatermarked and uncapped.

Can I use my app icon inside the feature graphic?

Yes. A graphic can pull in the icon you designed in ExportKit, or an uploaded image, or a letter mark.

Does the exported PNG have transparency?

No, and that is deliberate: Play asks for JPEG or 24-bit PNG with no alpha, so the export is flattened onto the background you chose.
