Terms of use
The short version: everything you make here is yours, a Pro licence never expires, and the free tier is a real free tier rather than a trial.
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. The agreement
These terms cover your use of ExportKit at exportkit.app, including the editor at /app. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, don't use it. Questions go to hello@exportkit.app.
2. What you own
Everything you make is yours. Icons, screenshots, feature graphics and listing text you produce with ExportKit are your work, on every tier including the free one. Publish them on Google Play, the App Store or anywhere else. No attribution is required, no watermark is applied, and there is no cap on how many files you export.
You also keep ownership of anything you add — app screens, logos, images. We claim no licence over them. If you choose to back a kit up (section 5), you are asking us to store a copy of it for you; that is permission to hold it and hand it back, and nothing else. We do not use it, publish it, or let anyone else see it.
3. What we own
The templates, the editor, the site and the ExportKit name remain ours. A licence lets you use the templates to produce your own graphics; it does not let you redistribute, resell or repackage the templates themselves as a product, or extract them to build a competing tool.
4. Accounts
Signing in is optional. Without an account the editor works in full, and your work lasts for the browser session — close the tab and it is gone. That is by design, not a fault, and it is stated in the pricing comparison on the home page and in the editor.
With an account, your work is kept on the device you are using, and you can choose to back a kit up to our storage — see section 5. Keep your Google account secure: anyone who can sign in as you can reach your kits and anything you have backed up. You may close your account at any time by emailing us.
We may suspend an account that is used to attack the service, abuse other users, or break the law. We will say why.
5. Cloud backup
Backup is manual. Nothing is uploaded automatically, in the background, on a schedule or when you close the tab. A kit is copied to our storage only when you are signed in and press Back up now. Until then, and if you never press it, nothing of yours is held by us at all.
What you get. The free tier backs up one kit — the first one you created. Pro backs up every kit, up to 2 GB. Past that limit backup pauses; the editor, your local kits and export are unaffected, and deleting an old kit resumes it.
It is a second copy, not a guarantee. We take reasonable care of what you back up, and we are not promising permanence, uninterrupted availability or that a restore will always succeed. Treat it as insurance against losing a laptop, not as the only place your work exists. Export the .zip — it is free and uncapped precisely so that you always hold a copy we are not involved in.
What we do with it. Nothing. We do not open it, read it, analyse it, or use it to train anything. The privacy policy sets out exactly what is written and where it is stored.
Removing it. Backing up again replaces the stored copy; we do not keep the old one. Closing your account deletes it. You can also ask us to delete a backup on its own, without closing your account.
We may set or adjust limits on backup size and frequency where we need to in order to keep the service running. We will not reduce a limit that someone has already paid for.
6. Pricing and the Pro licence
Pro is $70, paid once. It is not a subscription. There is no renewal, no annual fee and no expiry.
- It unlocks every paid screenshot template set, and every set added afterwards, at no further cost.
- Retirement doesn't take anything from you. If a set is withdrawn from the gallery, it stays available to everyone who already had access to it.
- It raises cloud backup from one kit to every kit, up to 2 GB of stored kits, on the terms in section 5.
- A licence is for one person or one company. Don't share the key publicly.
Pro is not on sale yet. The price is published so you can plan around it, but there is no checkout; joining the notification list is not a purchase, creates no obligation on either side, and charges you nothing.
If the price changes later, anyone who has already bought keeps what they bought. A price rise never applies retroactively.
7. Refunds
When Pro does go on sale: if it isn't what you expected, email us within 30 days and we will refund it, no argument and no form to fill in. We would rather not have your money than have you resent paying it.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use ExportKit to produce graphics for apps that are illegal where they are published, to impersonate another app or company, or to create material that infringes someone's copyright or trademark. You are responsible for what you publish to a store; we have no visibility of it.
Don't attack the service, scrape it at volume, or attempt to bypass the licence check. The last of these is technically easy — it is a browser app and we have been open about that — but doing it is a breach of these terms all the same.
9. Availability
We aim to keep the site up and will not promise a number we can't hold to. The editor runs in your browser, so a server outage does not stop a page that is already open from working or exporting.
Features can change. We will not remove something you have paid for.
10. Your data
What we store and why is in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary: your designs stay in your browser, an account stores an email and a name, and a backup is stored only if you press the button that makes one.
11. Warranties and liability
ExportKit is provided "as is". We make no warranty that it is free of defects or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not guarantee that a store will accept a listing built with it — store requirements change, and we check ours against the published specifications but cannot be responsible for a rejection.
To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you have actually paid us, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost revenue or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Keep your own copies. Browser storage can be cleared by the browser itself, and cloud backup under section 5 is a convenience rather than a guarantee. Export the .zip; it is free and unlimited precisely so that you can.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use ExportKit after a change means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the country in which ExportKit's operator is established, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not remove any protection you have under the law of the country you live in.
